Sam Hughes wins junior fish-o-mania

After qualifying for this year junior fish-o-mania Sam Hughes put on a great display of skill to take the trophy, he’s plan was to fish chop worm and caster at 13m on the pole and fish hair rig meat on the bomb rod three quarter the way across the lake, Sam was soon in to carp and barbel on the pole and took an early lead. in the first hour Sam put 6.20kg on the scales which gave him a 4kg lead. the second hour Sam switch to fishing meat on the bomb rod and had 7 barbel to pushed his weight up to 11.65kg, on peg 2 was Michael Corsini who caught a big carp which push him up to 10.22kg with only 1.50kg separating the two, Sam got he’s head down and caught some more carp and barbel on the pole before switching back to fishing the meat on the bomb rod for the last hour catch barbel and bream gave him a final weight of 23.82kg running away with it in the last hour giving him a clear 13kg to second place.
