Tameside Fox Match takes Gold & silver at Junior Nationals

The 2008 NFA Cadet, Junior and Intermediate National Angling Championships supported by Pentax UK took place this Saturday (5th July) on the Stainforth and Keadby Canal in Thorne near Doncaster. Over 200 young anglers aged between 10 and 20 years of age took to the bank looking to go home with the title of National Champion. Fox Match Tameside put four teams in to this event with great results. after weeks of practices all the work payed of when we took gold in the Intermediate and Silver in the juniors. it was a close call in the juniors with 2 points from winning the double it was Worksop AC who took gold with 90 points, Fox Match Tameside took silver with 88 points, Bronze medal fell to Smartbait Leeds Gold who finished with 81 points. It was a great day out for all our lads and they all fished excellent we are looking forward for next year National which is held in our back yard at the browning Cudmore complex.
