Tameside Juniors win 2011 nationals

This year junior National was held a Heron Brook fisheries on Saturday 2nd July, which seen 21 junior teams from all over the countries competing for the national crown. Tameside fox match junior which runs Claremont gardens angling school put a good team together for this year event and work hard in practicing for this big event. Joe Cartwright fished A section on meadow Joe caught carp to 4lb on long pole, he lost a big carp in the dying seconds of the match which would have give him 2nd in the section but had to settle for 4th place. Sam Hughes fished a great match on B section on Meadow for a great weight of 17.45kg of F1s and Tench. it was a enough to see him qualify for the junior Fish-o-mania in 2 week time, Sam also won his section. Sean Williamson fish well in a hard C section on Bridge pool fishing pellet and meat catching F1s and barbel, Sean pick up good points and finished 6th in his section. Anthony Goldstraw fished D section on the old canal and caught barbel on meat at 7m, Anthony caught late on in the match which gave him 3rd in his section. Michael Szaloky fished E section on old canal and lose 5 big carp in the rushes in the first hour, after pulling him self together he started to catch well throughout the match and finished 2nd in his section with a weight of 16.40kg. Kurtis Greenwood fished F section on the specimen Lake which saw him losing huge carp on the method feeder, Kurtis caught 5 good carp in the last hour to put him 3rd in his section on the day. Tameside fox match juniors walk away with the team gold championship title with 113 points and a weight of 69.54kg, in second place with 102 points and the same weight 69.54kg was Maver Farnborough, in third place was smartbait Leeds with 94 points and a weight 51.22kg
